Sins of an Art Student is a series of web comics depicting situations that occur during my time as a student at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. The plots for each comic are relatable scenarios but with with a touch of humor and a lot of exaggeration.
The theme of my comics is based on the Seven Deadly Sins, with each story's plot representing one. Notice that the main color of the background, like the walls or floors, are be color-coded for the sin represented. For example, Purple for pride, yellow for greed, blue for sloth and so on.
The target audience for this series are mainly youths going through with their education. However, all are encouraged to view these comics as the scenarios can be similar to working adults or even to people who are not in the creative industry. The objective of this web series is to raise awareness towards some of the actions with negative impact that we commit on a daily basis. The exaggerated storylines and humor will allow readers to realize that while having a good laugh.
After all, there is a saying: "Laughter is the best medicine."
